Every project is unique and our creative staff is happy to discuss particular details you have in mind. Prior to print or design, please allow time for us to work directly with you and your staff to collect all the necessary logos, photos and fonts required for your project. Your CSR is a valuable reference regarding project schedule and printing options. You can count on them to see your project through successfully.
1. We accept files created in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat. Please call for details about sharing layouts you have created in a MicroSoft Office product.
2. RPM accepts art files via email (under 5mb), via FTP upload (over 5mb), or by CD/DVD. Please compress files using a program such as StuffIt or ZipIt prior to emailing or uploading to FTP. Your Sales Rep or CSR can provide the email address, FTP log-in information or postal address you will need to submit your materials.
3. Build pages to their final trim size. Please add a 1/8" bleed to the edges of all submitted documents.
4. Send all fonts used in your artwork. You may also convert fonts to outlines when necessary.
5. When possible, provide logos and imprints as vector files (ie. Illustrator, Freehand, Corel) so resizing and printing does not damage the integrity of the art.
6. Send all high-resolution images/art = 300dpi/placed at 100%.
7. Avoid embedding images in Illustrator files. Instead, link to the independent image files. Send the independent image files along with your final layout.
8. Choose all CMYK color for files being printed 4-color. Identify spot colors by PMS number when files are being printed in spot colors.
9. Please submit a color laser copy or email a low-resolution PDF of your document for reference.
10. PDF documents intended for production should be created as "Print Quality". All fonts must be embedded and 1/8" bleed included with cropmarks.
